To find out what’s really going on between the sheets, AskMen.com’s Great Male Survey 2012, polled 50,000 people from across the U.S., the U.K. and Australia. 26 per cent of the women admit to faking their orgasms every time they have sex. And they aren’t the only ones.
Over a third of men admitted to having faked a climax at least once. In fact, 40 per cent of men said they were only ‘somewhat satisfied’ with their sex lives but there was ‘room for improvement’, and 22 per cent admitted: ‘I have no sex life’.
The survey results went beyond sex to reveal some interesting attitudes towards relationships.
Weight gain presented a major issue. While 67 per cent of women said they would remain with their boyfriend if he became fatter, over half of men ruthlessly admitted they would not stay with their girlfriends if they did the same.
Contrary to popular belief, it found that 44 per cent of women believed in marriage, compared with 70 per cent of men.
Demonstrating further female cynicism, a third of women admitted to having read their boyfriend’s emails or text messages as a means of ‘checking up’ on their man. Over half of men say they have lied about their number of sexual partners.
So, with all this underlying drama going on, is it any wonder there are so many unhappy people walking around? For starters, why can’t both men and women just be up front about their sexual preferences and ask their partners to help them fulfill their fantasies. Isn’t honesty still the best policy?
