Women Need A Great Pair Of Jeans

Real Cougar Women need their jeans. Kim Parrish October 2009-1 Why is it the older I get the harder it is to find a good pair of everyday jeans that make my ever changing body look fabulous?  To combat some of the challenges that we face with designer jeans I’ve made sure the jeans in my collection have some “common sense rules” in their engineering.

For instance, a longer rise is so important in the design of a great pair of jeans for more mature bodies.  This allows for better coverage in the front and back of the jeans but also helps to disguise any lumps or bumps around the hip area.

Spandex is also key to a great fit in denim.  After recently returning from a vacation I quickly realized I had over-indulged right out of my designer duds and the only jeans that still fit me were the ones from the my collection. Why?  Spandex!  Look for jeans with at least 2% spandex and you’ll feel the magic in the fit!

The color of the denim is also important and I’m finding more and more women are reaching for a darker wash without those types of treatments that create that washed-out, lived-in look.  An all-over dark wash makes your legs look longer and leaner, creating a slimmer silhouette.

Once you find the right color and style, turn the jean around and check out the pocket placement.  Pockets that are placed high on the backside give you a lift.

And yes, the size of the pocket does matter.  A small pocket is the key to making your backside look small too.

Now that the perfect denim is in place in your wardrobe, you can team them up with any of the latest trending tops to create the perfect Spring and Summer look.
