Women Hiring Gigolos On The Rise

A handsome, muscle-bound man who is charming, witty and keen to treat a woman like an angel whenever she is in the mood?

It may sound too good to be true. Until, that is, money is thrown into the equation.

Gigolos are on the rise in the U.S., says ABC’s Nightline, with more and more well-educated, successful and high-earning women willing to shell out thousands of dollars for dates – and sex – with the ‘perfect’ man.

Garren James, owner of Cowboys 4 Angels, has had 2,000 job applications since his agency starred in reality series, Gigolos. Models turned cowboys take home 80 per cent of their hourly rate which starts at $300.00.

With services paid for up front and under the strict guise of simply charging for time, rather than sex, the practice is 100 per cent legal – straight male escorts bill for their hours and nothing more. If that leads to sex with a female client, so be it.  

One woman uses this pleasurable service as incentive to lose wight – and books a Cowboy every time she sheds five pounds. It’s working. She says that since she started heading on dates with the former models, she has gone from a size 28 to an 18.

For her, though, the icing on the cake is that she is in control, and free to do as she pleases. ‘I know they aren’t going to call. I don’t want them to call,’ she told Nightline.

Cowboys 4 Angels is now in Texas, New York, California, Georgia and Nevada.

Today many women are too busy for a boyfriend and they prefer the ‘sure thing’.  This fits the bill for their needs.

While the gigolos are not required to take STD tests as they are officially not being paid for sex, but say they practice safe sex.

So, I toss this out to you.  Do you think it’s wrong for a woman to engage the services of a gigolo?  It sure flies in the face of conventional thinking.  I say it’s okay as long as you don’t get emotionally attached – and that’s a big if. Remember, Richard Gere got hooked on his paid-for escort in Pretty Woman?

Sex Is Better Than Any Pill

Sex is one of our biggest preoccupations, and so it’s natural that it would be the subject of a slew of research projects. Scientists at Rutgers University, are using scans to monitor women’s brains during orgasm and are coming up with some interesting factoids.  

Two minutes before orgasm the brain’s reward centers become active. These are the same areas that are activated when we’re eating and drinking. Then, immediately before we climax,other areas of the brain – the ones that receive ‘touch’ messages from the body - are activated.

The final part of the brain to be activated is the ‘control’ part which regulates temperature, hunger, thirst and tiredness.  So, having sex at the end of the day, has many stress-relieving benefits, especially for men.  Having a powerful orgasm is equal to having a 2-3mg shot of Valium.  Now you know why they have sex and then immediately turn over and start to snore.

What else happens to a woman’s brain when she slips between the sheets?  Is sex mind altering?  The answer is yes. 

The oxytocin, released during sex lowers our defences so we become more trusting. It’s also the key to bonding, because it increases our levels of empathy. Women produce more oxytocin than men and that’s why we are more likely to let down our guard and fall in love with a man after sex. Unfortunately, our body can’t distinguish whether the person we’re with is a casual fling or marriage material — oxytocin is released either way. So while it might help you bond with the love of your life, it’s also the reason you may feel so miserable when a short-term relationship ends.   

Men, on the other hand, don’t get that same surge of bonding hormone, they get a surge of pure pleasure. That’s because the main hormone released for them during sex is dopamine – the pleasure hormone. For women especially – the mind plays a major role in achieving orgasm. The key to female arousal seems to be deep relaxation and a lack of anxiety.  

 

Regular sex – are you ready for this – may actually help us grow new brains cells too.  That’s what researchers at Princeton are finding. So does that mean the more sex you have the smarter you get??? Factors such as stress and depression have been shown to shrink the hippocampus, yet exercise and sex counteract this effect.

 

The benefits of sex are numerous to list on a blog posting, but I’ll leave you with this.  Our lips have 100 times

more nerve endings than our fingertips.  So, if you kiss a lot before intercourse, the sex will be much better.

There comes a time in your life that you must make a choice.  Start accepting who you are or keep beating yourself up for perceived your imperfections.  You realize everyone has got stuff they would like to change but it's okay to like or even love yourself for who you are – warts and all.  You make peace, take a deep breath and stop punishing yourself for being YOU.

This acceptance takes time because we are all a work in progress.  But after many decades of micro managing everything I find the strangest thing is happening. Because I have stopped being so critical of myself and have stopped trying to mastermind everything in my life, change is occuring on it's own. Being in a more relaxed and happy state has allowed that change to take place. I am loving it and I am appreciating how the universe is showing me that when I get out of my own way miracles happen.
