Satisfying a woman sexually isn’t rocket science, but men just keep doing the same-old, same-old without trying to educate themselves on what woman want.  That male-ego subborness results in anger, confustion and frustration for both the man and the woman.

Men have to learn to ask for specific directions from someone who knows how to get where they want to go. Typically they are getting their sex tips from porn and men’s magazines.  So, let’s face it – the average man is  CLUELESS on how to satisfy a woman.

Men really don’t have any idea what they’re missing, one man admits.  He says, “a completely satisfied woman is the most beautiful sight I’ve ever seen.”  He’s right!  When the lady is happy the world is a happier place for everyone.

Woman and Casual Sex

When it comes to casual sex, are men and women really that different?  Most would argue that there is a huge difference. But, maybe there’s not.  Just maybe woman want sex as much as men do – however, they require different conditions for casual sex to be appealing.

Conservative values, and religion specifically has attempted to destroy sexual pleasure for both men and women – but it has come down hard on female pleasure. Women are whores if they are too sexual. Women are sluts if they explore their deepest sexual desires. These labels have become mental, emotional, and orgasmic prisons for many women – especially when it comes to “casual” sex.

For example, in a landmark study from the 1980’s, when random women were solicited by random men for casual sex – women turned the men down 100 percent of the time. Men on the other hand only turned down random solicitations by women 25 to 31 percent of the time. But, to be fair, the 1980’s were still the dark ages for female sexuality. It was believed that women were not naturally promiscuous. 

Psychologist Terri Conely explored this question in a groundbreaking 2011 study. She refined the question of casual sex for females by suggesting that a safe, physically attractive random lover had the potential to give her a positive sexual experience. Under these conditions, women were just as likely to accept sex with a random partner as were men.

Faking Orgasm Doesn’t Work

Men might find this difficult to believe, but more than half of all women have faked an orgasm, according to a study published last week.  After questioning more than 400 women they found  53.9 per cent  had pretended to reach the heights of ectasy with their partner.  Many said they did it to preserve his male ego and prevent him from straying.

So why are so many women secretly dissatisfied with their sex lives?  

If you go to bed exhausted every night or fight over the smallest things with your partner, it will definitely have an impact on your sex drive. Sex has got to be fun and when it’s not you find any reason  to pass.  A lack of libido is a common problem, with an astonishing 30  per cent of women claiming to have no sex drive at all.

The lack of libido can be caused by other factors too, including illness or a decline in hormones, which is common during peri-menopause and menopause.

‘Libido is a complex issue — it’s a mix of brain, heart and hormones.  And, many women are too embarrassed to talk about it.  

Sex is something we do need to talk about, and the best place to do that is in the doctor’s office.  Not just any doctor, but a doctor who you trust and who is compassionate to your problem.  There are many answers to a low sex drive.  Some remedies are as easy as a progesterone cream or testosterone patch.  But, you need to know what works for you.

How you perceive your own body plays an important part in achieving sexual satisfaction.  If you don’t feel good about your body how can you feel sexy?   If you don’t feel sexy how can you enjoy sex?

I know women who are have the most amazing sex lives and they do not have great bodies. They are making a conscious choice not to focus on their flaws.  The  stretch marks, the flabby belly, and the wing bat arms, are not going to interfere with their sexual enjoyment.     

Loving acceptance of who you are is a process that can begin with re-focusing on small things that you like about yourself.  The key is turning down the volume on your own self judgments.   It’s these negative, critical voices playing in your head, that stifle pleasure of any kind.  And, in the bedroom, that are particularly deadly.  

Women have to be less concerned about what they imagine their sexual partners are thinking and more about how they want to feel. 

 Believe me, men are not half as critical about your body as you are.  Most of them care far less about how their partner looks and much more about creating an intimate connection.It’s not easy for women to overcome the strong societal forces telling us to look and act a certain way. However, we have to make that a priority – our happiness depends on it.

Orgasms Come In 4 Different Varieties

Can we ever know too much about orgasm?  It’s an art and I thought all of my Real Cougars would want to be enlightened in that particular art. Make no mistake it is an art – if you truly appreciate the pleasure an orgasm can give you.

I didn’t know we could experience four different kinds of orgasms.  I thought orgasms were orgasms, but I was wrong.   

Betty Dodson Ph.D sexologist, who has been one of the principal voices for women’s sexual pleasure and health for over three decades, shares what she has observed about the female orgasm.

“After years of observing my own orgasms plus all the women I’ve known personally and have worked with professionally, I’ve observed four basic categories: Pressure, Tension, Relaxation and the Combination that I call a “Rock and Roll Orgasm.” This one combines elements of the first three. While breathing fully during a buildup, we are squeezing and releasing our muscles rhythmically with direct or indirect clitoral contact. Pressure or Tension orgasms are most often reached by holding our breath and gasping occasionally. Total relaxation orgasms or what I’ve also termed “Sleeping Beauty” are most rare. To remain totally relaxed while breathing deeply, someone else must do genital stimulation in a manner that is nearly perfect. Ha! If you find that person capture them quick!

While no two orgasms from self-stimulation are precisely the same, most women use some form of direct or indirect clitoral stimulation with or without penetration. The body responds with movement, no movement, along with varied breathing patterns from holding the breath to panting. Other women remain utterly silent while others make a variety of sounds. The mind can be paying attention to what the body is feeling, focused on sexual thoughts, or conjuring up a sex fantasy. Just as long as you’re not planning a dinner menu or running the laundry list.
